A Top Security Executive Appointed by Guidepost Solution to Lead Sports and Entertainment Practice
Guidepost Solutions, renowned for offering compliance, monitoring, global investigations, and security consulting solutions, has announced Robert “Bob” J. McDonough as the new vice president of Sports and Entertainment for its Washington D.C. office. McDonough’s prime role will be to spearhead the designing and management of security planning, systems, and operations. His job also includes equipping the company with preparedness for new as well as existing facilities and events.
Julie Myers Wood, CEO of Guidepost Solutions, remarked how McDonough’s vast experience in the security industry, along with his proficiency in stadium and sports security issues, facilitates the company to deliver more effective security solutions. The CEO further pointed that Bob’s specific experience with event security management and security readiness protocols will massively benefit client organizations.
McDonough, who until recently was the director of security for the AMB Group, LLC and the Arthur M. Blank Sports Entertainment Group, LLC, implementing and monitoring the security programs for their businesses and personal assets, expressed how delightful he was to be joining Guidepost Solutions. Bob’s previous job included systemizing the security operations for Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League, and now he looks forward to using his expertise to help Global Solutions grow.
McDonough has worked with the U.S. Secret Service as a Special Agent for 24 years, coordinating with federal agencies, the presidential cabinet and members of the three branches of government. What’s more noteworthy is that he, as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division, has served five U.S. presidents. Therefore, McDonough, with a career in security industry spanning 43 years, is going to be a key element in the expansion of Global Solution’s Sports and Entertainment practice.
